VW Announces Second Phase of Hiring for Chattanooga Factory

Interested in working at the VW factory in Chattanooga? Today Volkswagen announced they will begin accepting applications for production jobs beginning October 26, 2009. There are approximately 1,200 jobs available with a starting wage of $14.50 per hour, increasing to $19.50 per hour after 36 months. Medical and dental insurance plans are available in addition to retirement savings.

They will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, November 15th.

In the first morning, over 2000 people have applied for jobs so get your application in now.

I did!  I doubt they can offer me anything that will get me to walk away from nearly 30 years of seniority and 4 weeks a year vacation, but I have to give it a shot.   8)
