If you are a Volksfolks member but you are not able to see the Club Forums please reply here and I will verify your membership and give you access. Also if any Volksfolks members recognize any new members asking for Access, you can vouch for them on this forum and I will add membership ASAP.

In the forum members list I am listed as a Forum member. I joined the club and paid my dues at the January meeting so you can confirm this with the Treasurer (sorry I can't remember her name). So when you have confirmed my club membership can you please update me to Volks Folks Member? Thanx

What is the current proceedure for getting member access? We need to combind our two post on this subject and give clear instructions on how to go about requesting access to the member area.

Here's our "up to date" procedure as I understand it:

Once you have joined the Scenic City Volks Folks, register on this board then contact Herb. He will verify your membership and have Russ give you access to the club section.

Do you want to post your email address here or just have them make a post here with their info? Once I know how you want to handle that end, I'll start us a new "new members" sticky and get rid of all this old info . . .

The new members can either email me directly at vwherb@centurytel.net or just put a post on the board. The only problem with just a board post is I may or may not know someone by their forum name if they don't use their real name.

I went ahead and made a new announcement-type topic here in the forums, and normalized these two to avoid confusion. This link shows the new procedure.

I changed it just a little bit. There is now an application to submit for requesting access to the member's only section. The link is in the announcement at the top of the forum, this is it: http://forums.volksfolks.org/apply.php

The form will only work if you're registered and logged in. That way we can keep track of who's who.
