Today in VW History

« on: January 17, 2009, 06:04:11 PM »
Just in case you haven't ever scrolled down to the bottom of the Volks Folks Homepage, there's a box titled "Today in VW History" that list any important events in the history of Volkswagen.  A lot of days don't have any events listed, but today has two BIG ones:

January 17, 1933: Ferdinand Porsche submits his now famous proposal titled "Expose on the Design and Construction of a German People's Car".

January 17, 1949: The first official Beetle was bought in America by Ben Pon.
