TNDubs at Bugapaluza

« on: January 09, 2005, 06:47:32 PM »
I am the Chattanooga President for the TNDubs association.. and was wondering if there was some interest in entering a whole club into the show.. and who I needed to talk to to arrange that.. We would probably have 25 or 30 cars show up.. but most of our users are from Memphis, Nashville and the Tricities..  Thanks for your time and help

We're glad to see you check in and join our board. I had contacted someone from your club up in Knoxville but I don't know if anyone was able to make it to the show last year. As you may or may not know, we have a lot of water cooled classes as well as "Best of" categories. As for entering a whole club, we have a lot of folks from the Southeastern VW Club come in representing several chapters. We also have folks from clubs in Alabama and Florida come in for the weekend. If you've never been to Bug-A-Paluza you are in for a treat. I would be interested in talking to you further about possible vendors. Feel free to e-mail me. :D

Well... didnt make that meeting or any of the following.. I became an owner of the site and all of a sudden, I had no spare time.. things are leveling out now, and I just realized that I missed the march meet, and I was sitting at the house thinking what am I going to do tonight.. oh well.. April it is,

A question about Puluza since I am here,

Alot of the Knoxville guys want to come down but they want to see the bulk of the show without staying overnight.. Does Sunday include the major judging?

Yes, there will be judging on Sunday but the cut off time for the cars to be in and ready for judging is 12 noon. They will be missing a lot if they don't come and stay both days. But they don't have to be there both days.

Maybe some of them will read these posts and be shamed by them. We have a LOT of water-cooled folks who come up from both Georgia and Alabama for the WHOLE weekend  :D . If they are going to be "into VWs" they need to be in ALL the way and not just part of the way. Did a lot of these folks start out as "ricers"?

Tell them to come on, they will love the show and the new folks they meet. They will be welcomed regardless.

I don`t know Herb. Maybe some just live for the road trip, 800 watt radios, mouse trap exhaust and "what kind of chip you are running", How long does it take to melt down a set of front tires. Like you said, they need to come on down, relax and meet some great folks who speak Water-cool and Air- cool. I will even pass around a bag of "chips".
