This is an actual 20-story car storage facility for Volkswagens at a factory in Germany.

I saw this "thing" on Modern Marvels . You walk in the office, pick out the car you wanted and that thing knew where it was and went looking for it , brought it down for you to look at it. I would love to see this thing in person

It's pretty impressive.  For a small fee, I think it was about 20 Euro, you can actually ride up into the tower.

I think it's pretty neat. I like the idea that you could order a car and then go pick it up at the factory, and actually have it delivered to you with zero miles on it.
