The Write Stuff

I'm going to toot my own horn here a little bit.

I visit and contribute to several forums and websites besides our own Volks Folks forums and site.  One that I frequent quite often (well, daily...just like this one) had a Christmas Essay Contest.  We were asked to submit anything...a story, a poem, fiction, truth, etc.  Well, I wrote a story for this contest, not expecting anything (creators are so critical of their own work, that's for sure).

The results of the contest came out on Wednesday.
I am shocked, yet proud to say that I won first place!  My prize is a $50 gift certificate for the Bradley Square Mall and a photo package with Santa Claus.

If you feel bored one day and want to see what my rambling excuse for a story is, go to Hometown Cleveland.com and read it for yourself.  They put it on the front page. Or you could read it and others in the forums.

Aww, shucks...ain't nothin'.

Congratulations, man. I enjoyed the story, as always. It's fun to get paid for doing something you enjoy and are good at, eh? Ever thought about making a little income writing? It would be the perfect thing to work at from home! 8)

Hey Travis , Good work !  I bet you would do really well with Childrens books seening how you are watching two "Rug Rats" grow up. I think Anthony gave you a hint. Pay attention . Whats really nice is all it would cost is some time. I love low overhead.  Use your head and don't wait around to long. Belive me when I say that time  it seems. goes by faster the older you get. I have a whole file on lost ops.
