The Worlds Fastest, Most Expensive Car

« on: December 15, 2005, 01:25:12 AM »
At one time Volkswagen meant the "People's Car" . . . a well built but economical vehicle that any working class person could afford.  They've sure moved on from their humble beginnings.  One of their subsidiaries is now producing what is being marketed as the world's fastest, most expensive production car.  The Bugatti Veyron costs more than $1 million, and can hit 62 Mph in 2.5 seconds.

 Dang it all!!! I just checked my bank balance and I am short by 1.1999.98 million. Guess I will have to stick with the 67 and the 01.5 Passat. Herb, may I borrow the balance from you. I promise to pay you back (crosses fingers behind his back)....

It's been the hit of all the auto magazines, too. Its trademark Bugatti horse-collar grille is just something you have to ignore, I guess (you can't see it from behind the wheel, anyway.). Wonder why it didn't work on the Edsel? The ABC article mentions lucky owners like Michael Fux, who saw it at Pebble Beach while visiting with the other rich Fux. He's going to have to leave the little Fux at home, because its only a two-seater. The "survival cell" will come in handy in case his brothers, the dumb Fux, drive!

A check will be OK won't it? I don't usually keep that much cash laying around especially at this time of the year. And don't worry about paying it back in a big hurry, I need the write-offs this year.

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know Anthony, I kind of like the front grill works. What bothers me is that there are actually people out there so shallow as to spend $1,200,000 on a single car. I mean if I had that kind of money I figure I could pick up a beetle in good condition for $2500. So with that kind of money ($1.2 mil) I figure I could buy 480 aircooled VW's, give away one to each club member, my wife and kids and grand kids and still be able to drive a different bug (or bus) every day of the year! :D

:-k   I really like the way Bugz thinks. Free VW's!!!

Yes Herb, a check is fine. I will go ahead start building one on the website....

Has anyone checked out the New Beetle Drag Car that Fisher Buggies has?? Steve told us about it the other night. That is one sweet looking ride. He has really outdone himself on this one in my opinion. It is on the photo section of their site.
