The Dialectizer - Can your readers read what you type?

« on: March 08, 2002, 02:36:17 PM »
Ever have the problem of an e-mail receipient not being able to understand your proper English?  Well, worry no more, for
The Dialectizer
is here.  Just go there and enter in a website of type in your text and whammo! it is changed into whatever dialect you choose.

For example here is what I typed...

I type these words to show how this works.  I hope that it finds you all well.  Keep in mind that the cruise-in is tonight, and the food will be delicious.  The festival of VWs is coming closer and closer.  May we all be ready for the oncoming headlights of hundreds of VWs.  So, until later, may you keep your tires on the road and no lights in your rearview mirror.
Goodbye!

And here is the same text, only after being transformed into the Redneck dialect...

ah type these wo'ds t'show how this hyar wawks. ah hope thet it finds yo' all fine. Keep in mind thet th' cruise-in is tonight, an' th' grub will be delicious. Th' festival of VWs is a-comin' closer an' closer. May we all be ready fo' th' ona-comin' haidlights of hundreds of VWs. So, until later, may yo' keep yer tires on th' road an' no lights in yer rearview mirro'. Goo'bye! Fry mah hide!
