Still waiting for the EPB to hook the power back up here, they say it'll be on by Wednesday but we'll see...

Basically been working nonstop since Wednesday. 12 hours the past few days. Our warehouse at work is accepting donations of food and supplies and we are working to get them out to Ringgold. I've made several trips in town and through Cherokee Valley bringing food, water, ice, supplies, etc. Also working with area churches which are designated as relief centers for individual and family needs. The devastation is indescribable, photos are nothing like looking at it up close and personal. Also we are open for business and crews are working to restore telephone/internet all over. Fiber crews are coming in from out of state to assist with rebuilding, we're replacing copper facilities in some of the most damaged areas with fiber optics. I have spent the past few days loading/unloading trucks, taking supplies out to areas that need them, and doing pretty much anything and everything right now. So I apologize for not returning texts right now or checking the forum much.

Do look at my photoset on Flickr though, I'll try to add more as I am able to take pics.

Those pictures are crazy. To see those houses just ripped apart and the roof trusses snapped or all the joists just flopped over in the yard is amazing. Definitely makes me think about parts of my job that I never considered before.

Of all those pictures, this one is my favorite:

I can just see the church groups handing out Anheuser-Busch cans...
