We got our fair share of scary wind and rain up here on the mountain, but nothing like the beating everone got in North Georgia and Alabama.  Everybody speak up if you're o.k. or if you know of anybody who is but without a way to tell.

EVERYONE i know is without power.  Ours was on and off a bunch of times, but we do have it this morning.   :(

Rick, I didn't have Glass Master's # with me, so after I talked to you I went on by there figuring I could maybe get their # off the door . . . they were opened back up.  The lady in the office said they were locking up and about to leave for the day when the power came back on, so they opened back up after lunch.  They took my truck in as soon as I got there and were done with it a half hour before it was scheduled to start.  Good thing . . . I got home about 5 minutes before the mayhem broke out here.  But we too were lucky.  We had lots of high winds, but really didn't get that much rain, no hail, never lost power . . . and that limb is STILL hanging in my pecan tree.

Mike and Deb are fine...no power though.  Tully and Amy Pleasant in East Ridge spent the day in their basement, but OK as well.  We are good, have power.  Our thoughts and prayers to all in Ringgold and other affected areas.

Cindy and I are ok. Lost power last night and it still out, but no damage at our house. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who suffered so much damage.

We were lucky .  Big time wind and rain. I think they said 65-70 mph at my house but no damage. Loss power 3:00 pm , back on 11:00 pm.  I have lived here all my life and never have seen this happen here.

Mike asked me to let you all know that it will likely be the beginning to middle of next week before his power is restored if it was like last time.  The power lines on his street run behind the houses, down in the woods and EPB seems to always go there last.  If anyone needs him, please give him a call, but he won't be able to get on the forum for a while.

Cleveland took a massive pounding. had to get out lastnight and get a friends sister in south Cleveland. upon arrival it was obvious a tornado had swept through the neighborhood.5 houses( hers included) were completely gone. I mean nothing but a dirt patch left. It looked like the neighborhood had exploded. Kim and the children are going to the Red Cross to help volunteer today. Hopefully the children can grasp the magnitude of what transpired.

Lost power about 8:30 last night still no power at this time. Found 3 nice big dents in my beetle today when the sun came up from the 3 inch hail last night.

Power out from 11:30 till 8:30 this morning.
Lots of debris and limbs around.
Had to get creative this morning getting to Chickamauga from Varnell.
Interstate was sitting still.
Went around the back side of Ringgold and at the intersection of 3 notch and Peavine there were power poles snapped in 1/2 with the tops just hanging.
I cannot imagine what Ringgold is going through.

Power came back on at 7:30 pm this evening. I was just about ten minutes away from starting to clean out the freezer and cook the meat on my outdoor grill. Power was out for about 18 hours, but I am not complaining because it sure could of been a lot worse.

Been helping out at the Ringgold Telephone Company all weekend. Our warehouse has been used for taking donations of food and supplies. I've been loading/unloading and bussing it out to churches, who are getting it distributed to those in need.

I drove through downtown Ringgold for the first time today since the storm, and the devastation is unreal. The pics/videos getting out don't compare to seeing it in person.

Does anyone know if Ooltawah-Ringgold Rd. is opened?  I know it was Thursday, but I heard they shut it down.

Power back on at work on Saturday... spent the day working to make up for a lost day of pay.  Very little damage in this section of lee hwy.  The signs for the Rental Store next door and the trans shop were blown out of the frames.  We were lucky.
