Hey , Did everybody make it through the storms OK ?  I think we dodged a bullet as we only had about 30 min's of hard rain and high winds here.  [-o<

I'm glad I went to work on Friday because when I got home, there were several large tree limbs sitting where my truck is usually parked.  I had some outdoor furniture on the back deck that were about 25 feet away from the deck.  My gas grill was turned around and about 3 feet from where it normally sits.  I live in Soddy Daisy btw.  My neighbor was off from work on Friday.  I called him to ask what had happened.  He said there were very hard winds and rain.  He also said that it scared him enough to shut all interior doors, grab his dog and some blankets and pillows, and layed down in the hallway.  Other than some damaged furniture, everyone at my house is fine.  Thanks for your concern David!

In LaFayette we got about an inch of rain in less than an hour.  The emergency alarms in town went off for about 30 minutes and we took shelter in the basement, but other than the heavy rain and a lot of lightning, it really wasn't too bad here.  I was watching the radar and it looked like the storm broke apart just west of town and the worst went above and below us.

My brother lives in Murfreesboro.  My nephew said he saw a tornado that went almost directly over their house, but it was still way up in the air and they didn't get any damage.  It touched down in a subdivision a few miles from their house and leveled a bunch of homes.

We had tornados here in ft oglethorpe. Lots of down trees and power lines. The porta potties for the road construction crew were knocked over.

I got a couple of dings in the visor on the fastback thanks to the hail, but I was otherwise all good!

A good friend of ours house was leveled in Murfreesboro.  It had been for sale for over a year and he finally had a contract on it a little over a week ago.  He had already moved to Nashville but still had some furniture in it.  It was leveled to the foundation.  They found the carpet from upstairs and one of the bedroom doors in a tree about 3 lots down from where it once was.  They are just thankful no one was in the house when it was swept away.

Nothing really on the mountain, some high winds and heavy rains.  We are in Nashville for Easter, today, and when passing through Murfreesboro yesterday, saw a field filled with highway patrol cars, trucks, police Trucks, Choppers, etc. by the interstate, but no visible damage from the highway.
Hope all are well.

I guess it was our time to catch heck. We had 56-60 mph winds through here about 4:00 am and it hardly rained.  A few trees went down in the "hood".  What is really weird I had a 10x12 tarp laying in the driveway and it never as much moved a inch while all kinds of junk was bouncing off the house. No harm though.

A 8' by 12" piece of aluminum trim blew off my house. That's not the bad part.

It landed on my neighbor's Jetta. Gotta go. I gotta get out the Meguiar's and rags...

Of course, the two tarp garages and three covered cars weren't even ruffled.
