Apologies to all for the recent troubles. Here's what's happening.

The software that runs this site has been running a long time without all the necessary maintenance required. Updates to the software are long past overdue. That is why we have been vulnerable to the hackers. We have tried patching but it's like the Dutch boy trying to plug the dike. As soon as one thing is repaired, there's a new leak.

What we are doing is transferring the site to a new server where we can be assured that the background software, including the main phpbb software the board runs on, will be kept up to date on a 24/7 basis. We are right in the middle of the process of completely rebuilding STF. I am hopeful that we will be "back to normal" and running on the new server by next week.

I am sorry for the inconvenience now of the site not being quite normal, nor fully functional, but I think the important stuff will work. I have decided to spend all our energy and money on the new site and put up with a few pains on the old. I hope you will agree with this decision.
