A friend of ours had a house in Murfreesboro that the tornado took out (leveled to the foundation) a couple of years ago that had been on the market for about a year.  They finally had someone buy it and they were within the week of closing on the house.  He actually made out better with the house gone because the insurance paid him for the house and he still had the lot that he was able to sale.  The best thing though was that no one was living in the house so no one was hurt.

Hell yeah it does....  :(

I thought you had to have insurance on a house if you were financing it?

Or did you own it?
