I was reading a paper that i get & on the inside of the front page there was an article about RV'ers with a picture of a VW camper with the top that pops straight up

That's a Riviera Camper. They were converted cargo vans back when the dealers could only get a few Westy's and had to buy the cargo vans to get the Westy's. They were converted in Portland, Oregon and is a pretty good knock off of the Westy conversion. I have one...a '81 Vanagon.

Yeah, those are pretty neat, but from what I understand, they are more difficult to get the tent and pop-top seals for it. I wouldn't mind having one and if I ever got an early bay, I'd prefer it to have a riviera pop-top.

Nick, the canvas and seals are readily available. I have replaced the seals but not the canvas yet.
