Security and driving rules at show

« on: April 29, 2007, 06:28:10 PM »
MY wife and myself would like to thank everyone for a great show. We had a blast. We noticed while at the show there was one idiot driving a silver hot rod bug that had vents in the rear side glass. I call this guy an idiot because eveytime I saw him leave the show he was burning the tires off and driving reckless around members and visitors. I was waiting for one of you club members to say something, but I never did see anyone stop him. Do you have a security team for this kind of issue? I saw one State Trooper there but no local police. Thanks GEORGE & TWANNA PEACH-NASHVILLE OWNER OF 71 RAT FINK CHOPPED TOP BUG

What I would suggest to anyone that is at shows in the furture to please address your concerns with the club officials there at the show. This will alleviate reoccurring problems with that person during that show. Sometimes the club officials are unaware of everything that goes on. Just to let you know, George, you are not the only one that complained about this guy for his inappropriate behavior.

This person was talked to by club representatives and he is well aware that those actions will not be tolerated and will not happen again. He did appologize for his actions several times afterward. We will see at future events if he is a person of his word. :?:

Guys/Gals,  I have a pretty good hunch that the problem of inconsiderate people behaving badly will be addressed at our next meeting.
I think that when shows grow larger and larger , they seem to draw people that want to run-a-muck and think nothing about their fellow neigbors camping or showing .  It would be sad if we had to have the Police patroling the show grounds day and night just to keep things under control. Thank goodness the problems were very limited, but they need to be "niped in the bud" before they get out of control.
I'm not a officer of the club, but I think I can speak for the SCVF that  this type of behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
If you want to stay up all night and feel bad the next day, thats your problem. Don't make it ours .  If you want cut donuts with your car, do them in your front yard, not ours. If the word" Consideration" is not in your vocabulary , Look it up in the Dictionary if you can read. Better yet, Grow up.

Ive been waiting for over a year to use this icon.I think its just right for these type of morons. :thebirdman:  Hey it was in the icon list!
But I agree with the godafther. I stayed up late with a few guest but I was considerate enough to keep it down to a mumble And I sure wouldn't go cuttin up the lawn with my car. I'm not a club officer either but I was ready to break my foot off in trike mans 5th point of contact.

I feel that this topic should be locked now as the situation that everyone had seen has been handled already. Please let's now reflect on the good points of the show and not the negative. I think they outweigh the bad! I'm sure that the fine folks from SC would not like to have this as a highlight for the talks of future shows! Just my opinion!
