The 67 witnessed the event and has ran real good since then. Shawns keeping it.

I have a 57 in the garage but I dont think I'll be turning wrenches on it soon. I've already found a replacement for the 62.

The car that hit me topped a blind spot in a hill with his light off in the pouring rain running 70 or so in a 45. He never touched the brakes I saw him 1/2 second before the hit... nowhere to run to. I've never felt anything like that and never want to again. Spun the car a time or 2 and flung everthing 100 ft away or more. I was carring beam tubes wedged in the front they dug into the fenderwells and deflected the car off to one side.
both doors popped open while spinning and it came to a stop with me crawling out at the same time. My friend Shawn helped me out of it and I didnt stand again til I left UT med.

My heads swolled up and beat up ..My arm is gimped up pretty good. But no surgery ,no stiches, and I'm alive. I'd say that pretty good considering the options.
I consider my self lucky and blessed. The spot I was laying was surronded by bent metal,I broke the shifter in half with my body and dont have a mark on me from the shifter. Ther's alot of crazy stuff about the wreck that shoulda happened and didnt that saved me big time.

Thanks for all yalls support I'll be up and around in a week or so. Watch out for Kamikaze civics!

The "a "pillars are bent in and the firewall caved in on the passenger side witch is where I was at the time. Seatbelt mounts in the 62 not so sturdy afterall. I think she is ready for a nice pasture. :?

Ouch.  I was sad enough to trade this car off, she was kinda special to me.  It at least helped to know how much enjoyment you got from her.  But still, every pic of this car makes me a little sadder for the car, more thankful that you're gonna be alright, and more wanting to find the no headlight using, speeding s.o.b. that hit you and kick him right in his mommy and daddy button.

Rest in peace Vickie.....

It may be a good candidate for trike conversion if you're into that kind of thing.   8)

I will melt her down before a trike is born from the remains of Vickie!

I figure I'll take as much usable material as I can then put her back with her original pan for retirement. Aka ...Rick has dibs on the reamins of his ex. I've already had offers to sell her and it aint happening.I'm keeping everything I put on it and just about every nut and bolt that can be reused.
I know a few guys with 61-62 gulf blue cars that are getting some part donations but the chasis and whats left of the body most likely will go to Rickville to sleep.

Nuthin personell but I cant sell it.
I can let her go home but no sir to sellin her.

I'm doin ok gotta do a lil rehabilitation on my left arm but I figure I'll be back in action any day. Ive been dismanteling the 62 may have pushed it a bit the other day and it sure let me know the next morning. Just gotta learn to slow down for a bit.
