As for KC's guess. He was close, but not quite. My father got it first try- Year, Make Model!
I still think it is a Tri-5 or a '58 pontiac.
I am sure it is a pontiac.  My great G'paw had a 4 door one with that same trim....
(it was like 30 years ago I saw it though  ;D)

What is the going price for a type 3 engine ?

All 4 cylinder engines are $119.49 with a $55 core charge.

Tri-5 might be correct. If by Tri-5 you mean '56, '57, '58! Pontiac might also be correct. keep guessing until we get year, make and model! Come on David, don't you remember these?

"It was a foux-fity-five rocket, the kind that only policeman were to drive...."
In my best Twain voice....

Tri-five to a GM man means 55,56, and 57.

no golf carts, but you could see two of the 5 bugs from the place they check your tool box!

That's a 61? I can't tell from the pics, did it have a 4 tab hood?

I'm not sure if that was the '61 or not. There was a 67 and a 61. There was also a 65. I think it was white. Come to think of it, that might be what I got the handles off of.

None of the emblems were left and few body parts were even salvageable. The '65 had an ugly, but not gone rear bumper and deck lid (with wide light).
