Request for pix

Hey all I posted this a couple of weeks ago down in our specific Volksfolks Forum but I'm afraid it hasn't gotten read (well I can see it's been read 17 times but I haven't gotten any response) so...

"Hey all, I have been commissioned to try to make our Photo Gallery a little more vibrant and diverse (no offense Travis, I love those 2 pictures of the dying bus as much as anyone but...) I have plans to expand it to include show coverage, our personal cars, and even meetings (if anyone wants to send me pictures since we all know it's kind of a commute)

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on this let me know. To start off with, anyone that has a digital picture (or 5) of thier Dub and a little clip about it I'll start our member's gallery. If you don't have access to a digital camera but happen to have "normal" photos you can mail them to me and I can scan them for you. I'd like to begin to show to the outside world just how big and diverse we have become. This request obviously includes ALL your VW's, i.e. Anthony's FV, everyone's NB's, and of course the AC crowd, etc....

I would love to start making something more of that part of our site but I can't do it w/o your help, if I have to wait till BP-4 I suppose I can just do it myself but...., I don't want it to be the VWHerb/Trav-& IBug page.

I haven't got anything worth showing off, but I'll send you a bunch of pictures from my mini-junk yard anyway. :lookaround:

I've also got a bunch of pictures from BP 1 and 2 if you want those (I think I have pictures of every show car from both shows). I had a digital camera and a 35mm with 4 rolls of film with me at BP 3, but didn't get the chance to make the first picture.

Thanks Zen, got your pics and pieced together all the ones I was sure of. I'll be working on this for a little while, so if anyone can send me other pictures that you would like posted I would appreciate it.

Im a mental midget Im a point and clicker only....
I would like to start taking pics of our Podrods meet on my Dig. Camera and posting them for all to see...

Plus I have some photos of my NB that I can post....

Heres what I know...
I have a Photomax program I down load pics into that from the dig. camera...after the pics load into a folder,
I can drag a pic or or put them all over into the shopping cart and send them in an email through outlook express, but it takes forever to send them, plus if I remember It starts goofing up my puter (windows start poping up say Illegal blah blah :nervous: ) It doesnt cause the computer to close down, just acts up, poping up, I performed an illegal whatever...
I assume that when Ive sent a photo that on the other end it takes forever to download my pics...

Got any easier sugestions on how I can go about doing this?
You'll have to spell it out for me step by step...

Sounds like you need a little computing 101. If you can email those pictures (that should be .jpg's, i.e. you should have files off your camera that look like xxxxx.jpg) then you are a step in the right direction. You next need to figure out how to upload files to the webspace your internet service provider probably gives you, that will let you post pictures to this (and other) message boards.

For my part of this request. If you will email me a few of your pictures (that we know you figured out how to do) and maybe a little bio on you and your car I will add it to the picture gallery that I'm working on. (if you want me to I will put some of your pictures up on my webspace temporarily and give you the link to them so you can give it to others) email me off the forum
