The pressure plate will stay with the engine. T.O. brg will stay on the tranny . All this stuff should be looked at while you have it in your hands.

very good, all else fails, I'll take pictures, but my guess is might as well as replace those parts to, I couldn't tell you if they're wore out or not.

I don't mind work, just don't like re-work

when removing the CVs, it's worth taking a hammer under there with you. Tap the 8 point bit into the bolt head before turning it. Otherwise it will get halfway in and strip. Throw a plastic bag over the exposed CVs to avoid getting dirt in the and to keep you cleaner!

Thats the reason you clean the splines out. You can tap the bit in after you clean .  I used a small blade screw driver to dig the dirt and stuff out. If you don't do that and just tap the bit in all you do compact the crud at the bottom of the hole.

OK,  thought we might be getting ready for the older wiser bull, younger calf story.. joking,

but do  agree, always good to keep a small pocket screwdriver around for cleaning allen head bolts and such.

Using the little screw driver is a lot more fun than laying under the car with a pair vice grips or my favorite toy .   Can we all say AIR CHISEL  ;D ;D    Even then some of those bolts can be a bitch . >:(
