I just test drove a 2002 NB snap orange Turbo and I have to say that the  2001-2002 are easier for a midget like me to see around the side mirrors...
my 99 is very hard to tell whats what with the outside mirrors on coming traffic is sometimes confusing at night..
so thats my vote 2002...

Ummm....this is going to be hard.  My knowledge of the WaterBeetle is limited, but here goes.  The '98 model was equipped with laser-targeted turreted machine guns while the newer models have since changed to straight-out laser targeted lasers.  One important change in the '99-'00 models is the addition of a rudder and wings, each able to "pop out" at 258 mph.  The only problem with this, though, is no one has been able to achieve 258 mph.  My favorite feature is the '02's ability to warp to other times and dimensions.  I hear this is how the VW Beetle was started.  One of the purple colored ones went back in time to run Hitler over...instead, it landed on a sheepherder in the German countryside, leading to rumors and visions of a new car that everyone could afford, even a sheepherder. :baaa:
So, with all these cool options to choose from, my pick has to be the '52.  That was a choice, wasn't it?

I'll go with the 2002.  I'd love to have a 2002 "NEW" Beetle.  Think I'll go to Mexico and buy one . . . I wonder if they still float?  If so, I could swim one over the Rio Grande and sneak it back to Georgia in the back of an enclosed U-Haul packed with other "illeagles" . . .

I'd settle for a 98, but then it wouldn't be a "New" Beetle, would it?

Where's the Option for 1969-70 Karmann Ghia Cabrio?

 :colgate:

Guess I've spent all this time being able to tell the models of the Beetle apart by year, when the rest of the world has no idea there is a difference between a 1950 Split Window Sedan and a 1974 SuperBeetle.  Now it's time to figure out what's the difference between 98-02 NB's!
