Pleasant November Surprise

« on: November 01, 2011, 11:41:08 AM »
What a nice surprise it was to turn the page on the SCVF calendar and see the newly acquired piece of artwork! I have been admiring that large wheeled beauty for a while now and it just makes it that much more wonderful to know its ours after seeing a photo from back when it used to be privately owned. I can't wait to see what I buy next! Hope we don't waste the next $32k on a policeman's salary when we can own some beauties like this!

Did anyone get the pun in the title?

Bingo, the city bought the piece of art that already adorned our city for a cool $32,000. For some reason we get art for free for a few years and we are then held hostage for thousands of dollars or else we would be an uneducated society. It's been in the news lately and it was highly opposed. [/rant]

Who knew our calendar could be so controversial! I'm thinking about doing one for next year. What do you think?

I'm game.
I am going to tear out the engine photo from last month and put it in my office.

I wouldn't mind another one. I have enjoyed this years. I did find my October to be less than productive since I caught myself staring into the cutaway photo so much...

Maybe we should do a whole calendar of shots of the cut-away engine.  All the time Nick spends staring at the calendar, it's keeping him off of a backhoe!   ;D

. . . unless he puts the calendar in the cab of the backhoe.  Then we're in deep poop . . .  ;D

I think I have told you a few times what a real  piece work you were ;) ;)I think KC and Nick are trying to figure out how you took that engine apart that way. You could tell them you use the Idiot Book. I think it would benefit them both if they would read it ;D ;D
