I kind'a cringed when I heard they were pimping a split window bus a while back, but they actually had some respect for it . . . classic two tone paint, safari windows, deluxe trim, a pretty cool surf board roof rack, EMPI 5 spokes . . . it was one of the few cars (maybe the only one) that they have done that I wouldn't mind driving.  Can't wait to see what they do with a Thing . . . but I'm actually wanting to see them pimp a Dasher.  Or a 411.  Hey, I know where they can get one of those . . .

You know, Zen, I happen to have a running, '79 Dasher in the driveway (perhaps the only one in the Chattanooga area).  If we could make the arrangement for Xzibit to "pimp my ride" I think I would immediately drive it over to David Johnston's house, park it in the front yard and lock the doors up... The cameras need to be at the ready, though as he might run us down, thinking we're trying to abandon it there.  I saw the Bus episode...The finished product looked cool, but I'm not a real big fan of Bondo as rust fix, so I think I would have rather had the bus BEFORE they "pimped" it.  The Thing episode was kinda cool, the paint was a lime green metallic that was "torn away" from a background of reptile skin.  Pretty neat, actually.  The one thing that bugs me about that show is the over-emphasis on electronics....Was a notebook computer in every door (that's four of them) really necessary?  A Flat screen monitor on the underside of the front trunk lid?  All I really wanted was the 200+ hp turboed engine....That would look sweet in the back of my '67 bug.
