While we were at the Chattanooga Market on Sunday, a lady approached us and said she was looking for someone with VW. We told her we were with the VW club and she handed me these photos. Apparently she has been trying to give them to someone for two years and this letter (dated Oct 23, 2010) was included. This is what she says.

Each year in FL, the St. Lucie County Fair highlights one decade. This year it was the 1960's.

Elementary and Middle Schools make up displays and compete for 1st place. This year 25-30 schools participated.

As you can see, the VW Bug was part of several displays. We've enclosed photos of only 3.

Hope you enjoy the photos. VW is a big part of Chattanooga life now. However, in the 60's, the VW Bug was a big part of our life.

Since I was scanning photos Zen gave me from Bug-a-Paluza 1, I scanned these as well and decided to post them here for everyone to see.
