Damn it's raining here like P--- out of a boot.I have so much to do that's not vw related before I can do what I want to.Either been too cold or raining.Painting parts of the house. If I didn't have this sleep apnea I could get something done.So much more I want to do to the buggy. My wife and I have agreed to stop spending and start paying things off and it was my idea.Well we really need too but I want to change the tires and wheels on the buggy.I have the 4 inch on the front and I'm not racing it so I want to go to a larger tire and wheel in the front.Maybe a 6 or 7 inch and want to get the brake drums powder coated all at the same time. Now how am I going to get out of this one? No I really do need to get these bills out from over our head.Well I kind of like the show scene but in order to keep up you have to change things once in a while. But don't get me wrong.I'm not afraid to drive it either. If you can't drive it then what is it all about? Right? I would like to get it out and stay in Gatlinburg for the weekend on a nice spring day and drive it around some. Then I would have gotten to do what I have wanted to do for a while.I bought the buggy to get my wife out of the house some but seems like she likes her craft shows a little better. Went to Alabama with her one time and got a first place. She must have been good luck.See she makes money at her craft shows and I turn around and spend it at a car show. No it doesn't work out very well for her. You know these shows can cost some money for sure by the time you add it all up.So that is why I'm kind of limited on the show part. But I do enjoy a crowd when I stop to get gas.But sometimes it can be aggreivating when you are in a hurry. It's alot of fun as ya'll know. Some of these guys have so much in a buggy now. I thought I did but I have seen some places they have spend 20,000 in a buggy and never drive it.I would have bought a beetle if I was going to use it as a daily driver but I missed those day's with the top off.Other cars other than vw's in my high school years but I wouldn't mention the year lol.I like all the vw's. Had a 71 back in high school and we went everywhere.Sure was fun in those years. This may be in the wrong thread so if it is just change it to the right one because I don't know where it fits lol

Well that's because you can't bring the vw inside unless you have a nice big garage with a heater in it. Well some people do but I don't.One day I'm going to close the opening we have in the back. Our garage has an opening in the back about 72 inches so it needs to be closed in then Icould get one of those blast heaters that contractors use that use kerosene. Will have to open a window for sure.Bot then lighting is a problem.I need about 4 of those light's that are on stands. Then I guess I would be more in the mood as far as vws go.I alway's have washing and polishing to do.Now you have to remember that buggies (fiberglass)are a pain in the ass because when you have cd's carpet and guages you don't want to distroy them.I got lazy one day and didn't cover cd player and speakers up.Filled them full of water by mistake.Well couldn't be fixed.Don't know why I re-installed one but to get one you can possibly hear you have to spend a little more than you think.Or take a chance on a used one which might have 2 month's left on it lol.No warranty for sure.I was just trying to keep mine nice.Once you start letting these vw's go they will cost you a fortune in the long run.But I'm not telling ya'll anything.Well if you are a mechanic but you can't be everything.

Won't be long until I can get buggy back in garage to work on.It's in a enclosed trailer right now. Makes a good garage lol.But I just purchased a storage building(another one) for Cathy to put her craft stuff in and got two trailers and it looks kind of junkie out there. So soon moving all her stuff into the other building and getting some stuff out of house and will put into older smaller one. Then hide trailers around back so it won't look as bad lol.
