Charlton and Herb have jumped on me about Tech. stuff for the news letter. Now that the news letter is back on track ,I will try to do it. I would like to aim the column at the Newbies . The problem is I can't always come up with a subject that you don't already have the answer for.
So, Help me out here.  E-mail me some Ideas at jdcjjdcj@ hotmail.com  .  This would keep me from repeating myselve on the forum if I don't have to. What would be the point of a column?

Some folks that read the newsletter never read the forums . . . some that read the forums never see a newsletter.  Write it once, publish it in two places . . . I don't see a problem with that!   8)

Now that you mention it, I just bought this old Dasher and I need to know . . .

Old Dasher huh ?    This would be more than likely the shortest Tech. column in history. On second thought, It could be the longest rivaling the Smelly-Cat "Slow Starter" Rope. Maybe I could get my Grandchildren to carry on after I have" Dropped a Valve" and moved to " The Great Parts Bin in The Sky".

Glad you said that Zen,  in my situation... I would love to get the newsletter, but being so far away, it does'nt make sense for me to become a member.   or do I even have to be a member??  I've never even seen one of the newsletters, but I'm sure it has to be better than the one we get out of the paper box every morning.  can I still be put on the mailing list?  huh?huh?  Pleeeeeasssee? :)

Why couldn't you be a member, Boone? We have a member in Detroit, another in Texas and I see no reason why we souldn't have one from W. Virginia. The newsletter is one of the benefits of membership and membership is only $15 / year. I, personally, had to float a loan for my dues but it is worth it.

As current president of this here organization, I'm going to make an "executive decision."  From this point on we will allow non-members to subscribe to the newsletter for $15 a year.  That's a great deal for non-members because it's less than the cost of printing and mailing out the newsletters!   8)

We have a plentiful supply of pistons but we are always in search of piston rods. We need all of those we can lay our hands on.

As for your up coming membership, just sent your check to Scenic City Volks Folks, P.O. Box 494, Ooltewah, TN 37363. We'll be looking for it. :D
