Myth buster sportscar

What 80's sportscar was said to be more aerodynamic going backwards than forwards?

Mythbusters is going to test the myth but did not tell the cars name

It might be a 70's car.  SC

I watched Myth busters this week and it was not this episode.   I did a search and learned that most cars are more aerodynamic  going back wards because of the big hole in front of the radiator.   So that would make the the beetle and the bus  extra  aerodynamic

Some folks say there was an ugly porscha  in the 80s that might be the car .  sc

The 928 was "my dad's and my car". He bought a red 86 (I was two years old) and I had a little booster seat that he kept in the front seat. We would run errands all around town and we'd travel in it. It was perfect for just the two of us. The memories I have as a little boy going for a ride with dad was in that 928. He ended up selling it after a few years though...but it 2000 he was anxiously awaiting the latest and greatest version of the M3 and the one he ordered couldn't get here fast enough. So he found an 89 928 that Olan Mills was selling and it was an immaculate car cause they rarely drove it (it did have some leather that shrunk in the large back window from sitting in CA for a while). I was 15... and then his M3 showed up, which means he didn't want to fool around with an older car, so I got to sneak it away on occasion. I really loved that car but we ended up selling it to a friend for what we had in it and he turned it made a buck. Oh well... maybe one day I'll have me another one...

One of my neighbors just got widowed and she got her husbands pride and joy 928... but I don't think she is going to let go of it any time soon and when she does, there is a long list of people in front of me... I think Rick knows that car and can attest to how nice it is.

In Germany , I think 1981, a company was looking and testing cars to see who was the most  aerodynamic at 75 mph. The test ended and , Hold on !!  Are you ready for this ? The winner was >>>>>>>>> A 1981 VANAGON !!!!!!!!  :o :o :o   2nd place was a 928.
I read this in Auto-Week years ago.

If you're talking about the bronze one, Nick, then yes.  I have seen it before and know it is NICE.  We did all the work on the car here, and whenever it was out of their garage, we kept it in our front building here.  It is a really nice 928, and, like you, i don't think with her husband's attachment to it that she is going to get rid of it.
