I was at the VFW on Lee Hwy Tuesday night If my memory serves me correctly he lives somewhere around there I should have driven FeeBee to his house and done doughnuts in his yard....
I don't have to worry about FeeBee cut'n dougnuts anywhere much less my yard. The only dougnut FeeBee could deal with would have to come from Krispy-Kreme.

Be sure to tell him it's an automatic '79 dasher and you want him to fix some squeaks and rattles.....

That'll make his day

I'm glad that will make his day, 'cause it really didn't make his day when I ask him about putting a head gasket on my 79 Dasher with an automatic transmission (YES, I really have one!!!!).  I think he mumbled something putting the head gasket somewhere . . . couldn't quite make it out, but I don't think he said between the block and the head.   I never got around to asking if he could install the strut cartidges for me.

It did not hurt at all and my pain threshold is really low. You are awake the whole time but they give you a "little something" to knock the edge off. It must have taken a whole 10min's to do the job. They jerked the old lens out and put in a new one . But get this, I was near sighted and the new lens was corrected so I dang near will have 20-20 long vision but will have to still to have Bi focal on the bottom to be able to read. I will still be wearing glasses. Not a problem.  I cannot believe how bright and clear things are ,and the colors WOW. I can't wait to get the left eye done. I went from near sighted to being far sighted . Boy! this is a trip.

My dad had the same surgery done. They replaced his lenses except instead of 20/20 he's got one eye for regular distance and the other eye for up close.  He doesn't need reading glasses anymore.

I have heard of people doing that with contact. I'm so use to glasses/with bi-fo's I chose to stay with them for two reasons. One is that I had safety glass and the other is they were Photo-Grey's due to me being really light sensitive. They changed like the plastic Transition Lenses but they don't scatch
