Most of his books and or movies of them feature a v-dub at some point.... The Dark Half, The Shining (Jack Nicholson driving through the mountains in the opening scenes), etc....

If you ever watch "Car Wash", there are VWs in almost every scene where you can see a street, just driving by. Thing is, I doubt it was planned. That's just what it looked like in the 70s when it was just Detroit and VW! Also, one of the characters drives a Splitty in a couple of scenes.

Also, Stephen King is the man! I've read most of his books and the last movie I saw was "The Mist". It stayed pretty true to the short story and, although I don't remember the story's ending exactly, the movie's is awesome! Worth renting.

It was his book and the John Carpenter movie that left me with my life long wish to own a 1958 Plymouth.  But never could afford one, and VWs are cheaper, so......
