Motorcycle wreck

« on: January 02, 2007, 10:46:48 AM »
I've recently considered getting another sport bike, but after last night i don't think so.If you haven't seen it yet there was a fatal accident on Ringold rd last night . I happened into it coming home from eating out. It was pretty horrible. I worked on the guy trying to stabilize him until ems came on scene, like I said pretty bad,not alot anyone could do for the motorcyclist. I wish someone could have done something for him but I doubt anyone could have.

For all of you out there riding for your sake and others please be carefull.I'm not sure who they will call at fault. Some say  the truck pulled out in front of him,I know the bike was going way to fast and I doubt the driver could react in time.He hit hard enough to flip the truck.

I can't stress it enough be carefull when riding and be mindfull of riders when your driving.

MAN !!! I saw that on the tube last night. Even if the truck pulled out in front of the bike, I doubt he saw him comimg or he thought he had plenty of time to beat the bike.  Its hard to estimate the speed when its coming at you at 90+ mph at night in anything. Turn the truck over ??  Must have been flying.  Hats off to you Scott for trying to help the guy. It must be pretty sad when a person thinks he can pull off a miracle and comes up short, but at least you tried. :thumbs-up:

Yeah ,I wish someone could have pulled off a miracle but it just wasn't possible. its hard to tell what really happened but there was alot of speed involved to flip a truck completly around and back up on the tires. It was pretty bad,Ive seen worse but I'm sure the young kids that were gathering around wished they would have missed it.I feel bad for the guys family and even the driver of the truck was pretty shaken by it all.

This topic seems a little inapropriate so feel free to delete it.
My point was just be safe, stay aware of your surrondings and keep an eye out for cyclist as well as other motorist. That all. I know I drove around with alot less zip today an noticed 3 or 4 drivers that could have caused some havoc.

You never know . . . it might only cause one person to look twice one time, but that one time might save several lives.  There's nothing inapropriate 'bout that is there?     8)
