Overall, it was an excellent show.  I'll be posting photos soon on the gallery section.  LOTS of cars of high quality, the museum had some significant cars, free food (God, they'll batter-dip anything!-seriously, fried Twinkies, fried candy bars!) 10%discount and free shipping on catalog orders (if it was in stock, you could pick it up there in about an hour) Pretty good swap meet-got a metal roof rack for Juan for $50 and everybody found something.  They even had a day spa on site for the ladies.  Richard's Beetle had some overheating issues and rode back on a new tow bar, but otherwise, no mechanical drama.  Worth the trip and worth considering for next year.

It was a great show!!  There was probably 800-900 cars there. Mid-America and Mike Yeager really rolled out the red carpet for the participants. We all had a real good time and want to encourage everyone who can, to go next year. I've already pre-registered to attend.

The show grounds are HUGE!! I would say probably 20-30 acres or more.

There was only one "new parts" vendor and that was naturally Mid-America or The Real Source or Mid-America Motorworks, which ever name you want to use. There were a few used parts vendors and we all, Anthony, Richard and myself, found some bargains. Anthony found a vintage roof rack for the Mexican Beetle that looks really great on his car.

We ended up driving the Eurovan because Lucille's clutch gave out on me Thursday night and it was a blessing cause we had to buy a tow bar at the show and pull Richards bug home. He had problems with over heating going up. We didn't want to risk doing any serious damage to his new engine so we pulled it. No problems.

They were offering 10% off of anything at Mid-America plus free shipping so I got another clutch, presure plate and throw-out bearing for Lucille.

Even though we had a few problems with Richard's car, we had a great trip and all of us plan on returning next year.
