Microbus Concept

Volkswagen unveiled a new Microbus concept vehicle in Geneva, seemingly a continuation of the previous concept introduced in 2001. It features an all-electric motor and an integrated iPad in the console for controlling entertainment, navigation, and more.

I like that they made the emblem on the front bigger but to me they still got the headlights wrong. It's just not a bus without big, round headlights. These slanty-eyed ones don't cut it.

there is so much opportunity for personality in a vehicle that they seemed to not be taking advantage of. They kinda got it with the new beetle but this new microbus could have more of a face. And I think they could benefit if they made variations to compete with the HHR (the panel type). It seems like a good start and I'd love to see them come back!

I do agree with the headlight issue.  One thing i didn't care for with the Microbus concept.  I guess it's all in the name of the "corporate fascia"... I would have figured out a way to create more of a "point" at the base of the nose, too.. kinda a throwback to the old splits.

also needs a Type-4 engine with a pre-dropped valve seat to keep it within the correct perspective.

Nein... hence why my ideal concept would honor the Split Buses, not a late model bay.   ;)   ;D

Russ,  ^^^^^ - should give this to the guys at the VW plant and tell them that this looks much cooler.
You could parlay this into a job.

I saw a thing on the tube this morning that the "Concept " is going be released in China . The news did not say when, but soon. What do you bet that "Thing" will sell for about $40,000 +. They say the dang thing will go about 186 miles per charge.  Sounds like its not a "Concept" in China.  :-\ :-\
