« on: May 26, 2008, 09:14:58 AM »
My family and I would like to thank all those who have given of themselves and their families , and those who are still giving and those who will give in the future to keeps our home land safe and free. Even if we agree or disagree with the politics of their mission . We will support those that are out there doing their job to protect us. Thank you all!

I'd like everyone to take a minute and think about all the sons, brothers, fathers as well as daughters, sisters and mothers that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
These soldiers gave everything and expected nothing in return. It is because of these patriots our country enjoys the freedoms we all take for granted from day to day.

Just something to think about while were all bbqing and playing with our kids and enjoying the day. Some families are a person short for their celebration and some kids are a parent short to play with.
Be thankfull of what you have and be thankfull of others who sacrificed so you could have it.God bless our fallen soldiers and pray for their families in there time of need.

Sorry for preaching, Memorial day is a bit more personel than it used to be for me.

I know it's a little late . . . I was out of town and away from a computer for the past few days . . . but I would just like to echo those same thoughts.  We b***h and moan about how bad things are, how bad our government is, how high our taxes are . . . etc., etc., etc.  Did you ever stop to think that on any given day thousands of people risk their lives to try to get into our country?  Why?  Because no matter how bad we imagine it to be, we have freedom here that you won't find anywhere else on earth.

It may sound a little corny, but the old saying "Freedom isn't Free" is one of the truest statements ever spoken.  So the next time you are b***hing and moaning about how bad it is here, take the time to thank the folks who died so you could have the freedom to b***h and moan.
