Sometime between 1967 and 1969 I saw a VW commercial that, as far as I know, no one else has seen. It began with a biblical, pastoral scene- farmers tilling their fields. The announ cer's sounded like he was reading from the bible describing the scene. Then, from the bottom right corner, a shadow appeared which slowly grew to enormous proportions and covered the land for miles around. The people laid down their tools and stared in wonder. Then, the camera's view dropped and you saw that this enormous shadow was cast by a little VW bug puttering along a dirt road. Ring a bell with anyone? Brian
