Beer and running go together like, as Forest Gump would say, peas and carrots. Beer supplys you with lots of carbs, running burns them up. Back in my running days, all of my running buddies would "carb load" the night before a 5K. Not me. I never could drink beer. I would do my "carb loading" with tequila . . . that might of had something to do with some of my last place finishes.
By the way, for those of you that have a hard time believing I used to be a runner, I've got a first place trohpy for the 1992 East Ridge 5K, Mens 30-34 age division to prove it.
