I have to vent!!!

« on: May 14, 2006, 08:28:43 PM »
This post is a follow up to some items said in the post about the Mid-America show . I wanted to start a new thread. First the views expressed herein are mine. If I offend you, so be it. I offer no apology. If you have another view I respect that. I am not in any way trying to force my opinion on you and please do not take it that way.

On the issue of immigration. Unless you are the descendent of "Native Americans" (Indians) you are an immigrant or descendent of an immigrant. Period. Now you want to talk about a group of people that were "messed over" by a government. Look no further than these folks. However let's face it the spread and conquer scene has been around for ages and the USA was not the first to enact it. Now lets go to today. There is in place a government of the USA, whether you or I agree with it and its policy. It is the "law of the land" and is to be followed. There are laws pertaining to the "legal" way to become a citizen of this country and entitled to the rights therein. There are penalties that deal with violations of these laws. Sadly they are not enforced as they should be.

 If you want to see how hypocritical Mexico is, read their laws on "Illegal Immigrants". To put it bluntly they have "No Rights". Period!!! Yet they want to stream across the border into the US and immediately feel they have "rights" in this country. As far as "They do the jobs Americans will not do." Is it "Americans" won't do it or is it the "fact" that the "Migrant Workers" do it so cheap and "Americans" can not afford to do it for that price??? And what is the "Politically Correct" term?? Unregistered Alien, Illegal Alien,Illegal Immigrant, Undocumented Worker, and the list goes on and on. There are many from Mexico and other countries who have followed the process and become productive citizens and an asset to this country.

I do not blame the people wanting to come to this country for a better life. Let's face it Mexico is so corrupt it is unreal. Their life there is unbearable from articles I have read and stories I have seen. But regardless of that, there are "proper" procedures to follow to gain "citizenship" here. And I do not support the idea of "Amnesty" one bit.

I blame much of the "oil problems" on the talking heads in Washington (BOTH PARTIES) for not enforcing better gas mileage on vehicles. On the tree huggers and frog protectors, and the NIMBY's (Not In My Back Yard) who have prevented any new refineries to be built in the US in over 30 years or the exploration for new oil reserves. And let's face it many of us are to blame because we do not conserve fuel. I am as guilty as guilty can be.

As Zen said the goal of Chavez is to topple the US. The stated goal of some of the "militant groups" from Mexico is to take over the US. They feel that their land was stolen by the US and they still own it. Let's face it if the "border" is not sealed up, there will continue to be an exodus of people across it into this county. For those who say we can't control the border. Oh yes we can, we (Washington) just dont have the "intestinal fortitude" to make a stand and mean it.

Like the "War on Drugs", give me a break. I heard it for 20 years. If "education" was the answer then as much as we spent there should be no problem. The problem of drug smuggling can be stopped if the government of the US ever decides it really wants to stop it. You blow a few smugglers out of the water, out of the air and off the roadway that fail to stop, with force and do it on a continual basis, they will get the message. Think that is too extreme?? Well forgive me.   I thought when you are at "war" on something you use all means at your disposal to win? There are countries in this world that smugglers fear to try to get drugs into because they know if they are caught, it is death. No ifs, ands or buts. I heard for years we have to get the small dealers and work the way up. Anyone read in the past 20+ years of many really "big dealer" being brought down in the US?? It is usually the same "hot spots" hit over and over and over. What if the State or County or City governments enacted legislation that would condemn these homes and they were seized and either sold or torn down. Oh wait, I forgot they already did that. It just isn't followed through.

I see where George W is planning to put the "National Guard" on the border to "support" the Border Patrol. Good decision Mr. President since many Americans have called for this action for years. Yet right off the bat he calls Mr. Fox and assures him we are not making the border a "militarized zone". Speaking in Tweety Birds voice:" Hey Mr. President, look very very closely". "See those men in "Uniform" on the Mexico side of the border??" " Guess what they are the "ARMY OF MEXICO"!!! " So why don't we, sort of let's say, "Equalize" the situation. Make our borders militarized. I would rather see my taxes pay for that than the "pork barrel" projects both parties approve each year. The American people deserve and in my opinion have the "right" to know that our borders are secure from "Illegal Immigrants" from all countries and above all to keep those out who seek to do harm to us.

I have so much fear that unless the talking heads in "Washington" get their heads out of their butts and stop the political sparring we will be attacked again and soon. I do not know how anyone else feels, but I am at the phase where I would love to see the voters of this country vote everyone out. The "career politician" has one person in mind. Themself. They could care less about you until election time. IMHO we have gone from a country with leaders who feared God, gave God the respect he deserved, and loved this country to a group of bottom feeders who will sell their soul to get elected.

OK I'm finished (For Now)

That's alot to get out. And a ton of typing no doubt. But yep what Herb said =D>

You know what ,now you got me thinkin too!
Speaking of screwed over people,I have a thought on this one.
Instead of stressing our already useless systems that are in place on people from everywhere but here, how about taking care of some of the folks that deserve it. Two words veterans association. What a freaking joke.Nobody desrves help more than the people who gave this country it's freedom, Yet everytime I go to that damned placed I wanna puke.
It was bad with all the old vets 10 years ago and now it's a disgrace. How about a 19 year old kid that had his legs blown off in Iraq filling out paper work for 8 months to get his home adapted so he can get in and out of it.
Or a  soldier that no longer has a job, fighting with these turds to get into a training program that at best will end up with them making 1/2 of what they would have.Or in my case the jerks won't pay for my freakin medication that they prescribed. Sad times are coming wait until all these guys are back out on the streets with a seriously bad attitude and nowhere to turn. 18 year old kids aren't able to cope with stuff like that.Your gonna see some bad stuff going down.I wonder how long our representitives will ignore it all?  :-k  I don't know the answer but it's b.s. ](*,)

Hey that's better thanks,Copper!

Well Guys !!! Kind of hard to top those comments.  What we need is a
Benevolent King for about 4 years. You screw up, Off with your heads !! But we all know that would be impossible. I don't think that has ever happened.
I sent Herb something to post here about Sheehan. I don't know to do it. Check your e-mail Herb.
