Well it had to happen.  My oldest has finally killed the Honda.,  Let me recap the last few years,  ran it out of water multiple times,  ran it out of engine oil and tranny oil multiple times,  ran into a a boulder last Xmas day.  cracked the windscreen,  bashed the radiator.  Blew Both Air bags,   60 bucks for the a new radiator,  tied all the plastic with nylon ties. Duck tapped the mirror back on.  Off he goes. 

Returning to the present last Friday.  Transmission makes a new sound.  Like lug nuts and glass in empty fuel tank being shook.  Wont go out of gear,  clutch does nothing.
I call him a $85 wrecker to tow it back from Dalton to Lafayette.  Cops show up and call  another wrecker,  I have to cancel cheaper wrecker.  I tell son to tow it to Lafayette,  Son tows it to Dalton apartment.  1 mile for $40 bucks.   

Fathers day Sunday,   Check out Honda, No tranny Oil,  get it to roll.   decide its toast. Arrange a buddy with a tow dolly to pick it up Thursday.  I tell Kid to push  the car to another parking place.  he doesn't...   Monday... Notice that it going to get towed.  Tell  kid again to push to another place and talk to landlord.  Landlord say its ok if its gone Thursday.  On Wednesday,  Honda is gone.... it got towed...  landlord says she forgot.
Now we are down $40+$40 +$15 bucks a day.  I tell kid to get his stuff out of car and take the battery.  he Listens. finally.... I've got him arranging to sell the heap to the tow place  and maybe get a little dough for the scrap minus fees.  Good riddance Honda   SC

yes I have seen first hand what those engines can take and still function afterwards... one reason why my family has always owned hondas....  I have even personally turbo'd one (non vtec, lower compression) to 9 psi consistently... and even after the turbo gave out the engine still ran stock again without a single bit of smoke. Bout the only thing hondas go through is timing belts and cv joints...
