And Zen is the one missing out on driving a VW. Instead, he is pouring oil on the ground by way of a 2.8...

Zen, I hate to say it, but I saw Matthew pull a bus out of the depths of Kyle's compound and get it running, albeit rough, and he drove it to Stevenson AND back this past weekend. All of this was accomplished in much less than 921 days.

What's your excuse?!?!?

Ants and spiders . . . and now wasp.  I took the top off a gallon spray bottle of some high dollar bug spray and sloshed it all over the front seats, dash and floor.  It drove the ants to headliner.  It just made the spiders and wasp mad.  I'm going to stick a bug bomb in it before I leave for Red Top Mountain on Friday.  Then the next weekend I'll get the counter reset.

Alright Zen has already removed the battery and is going to put a charger on it. He also plans to pick up a bug bomb and set it off in it before Friday, right?

Then, we are having a Revival meeting at his house in Lafayette on Sunday around lunch time. We are not sure what all we will need to do, but its looking like fuel tank drain, clean carb, new fuel lines and a little bit of brake light work. Picnic lunch or eat before. Zen's address is in the member directory, which can be found linked to in the members only section. PM someone if you can't find it.

See you there!

Alright everyone. Lets shoot for around noon at Zens house. I hope he is ready. Zen, if you can be there, just leave the keys and the battery out

Read the title.  YES, it's true this time.  AND, for the first time since I've owned him, Homer has turn signals, tail lights and brake lights that you can actually see.  They are brand new, housings, lenses and all.  Not only that, but my back yard is well on it's way to being cleaned up and organized.

How did all this happen?  Well it wasn't due to my hard work.  Nick, William showed up around noon and got busy, Matthew joined in the fun after a little while.  These guys worked their butts off today.  I would have never gotten started without them . . . much less make this kind of progress.  Hopefully I'll be able to repay the favor some day.  Until then, these guys have my eternal gratitude!

Still some work to do . . . Lot's of mold was uncovered today inside Homer; gott'a work on that.  The brake pedal goes all the way to floor and the fluid reservior is dry;  Looks like some brake work is in order.  I think I'm going to have to spring for a new carb . . . William tried his best, but finally through in the towel after the third carburator.  It starts and runs, but doesn't want to idle when it warm.  Homer will see y'all at the Sonic for the 4th of July cruise-in!

932 was a big day!!!

Homer was a piece of cake compared to the yard! We took the kiddie car out of his truck and cleaned the bed out so that we could start a trash pile that could be hauled to the dump. Homer had a pile in the back, so it helped to have somewhere to put it all. The mold and the rest of the junk is all that is left to get homer back to decent shape. It could be driven right now despite the brakes and not idling.

William worked quite a bit on the carbs and never got it to his liking. Zen and I watched until Matthew got there then we switched to picking up. After William threw in the towel, we got to installing the new taillight housing that we found in the bus. That's right, one taillight housing that was in the bus. Zen had two and seals, but broke one. So he ordered another. So we found both sets of seals separately but couldn't find a housing. I got the first one in, but we gave up finding the other. Just by chance, I looked in the wrecked passat and it was under some junk. Got both of the housings in and hooked up! Homer is so close!!!!
