Can I get a reset on the counter?  Right now it says "It has been 934 days since Homer last ran." but it ran yesterday . . . and today.

Lets hold off until it gets moving under its own power. Keep that carrot hanging out there a few more days!

Got a call from William last night (actually, Joy got a call from William, I'm still without a phone charger).  Anyway, he said he pulled apart the first carb (the one he had rebuilt) he put on Homer and wanted me to know it was full of what looked like spoiled chocolate milk.  I added some Sea Foam to the take Sunday evening.  I'm going to pour another gallon of fresh gas in it, rock it back and forth a little and pump it dry again . . . rinse, lather, repeat . . .

I might have to pull the engine so I can pull the tank.  Hope not.  We'll see how it goes.  I'm off for 9 days starting Saturday, so whatever has to be done to get this stinking counter reset, I'll have time to do it.  Whether or not I actually do it might be another story.  Stay tuned . . .  ;D

A new carb won't cure the problem.  I'm in the process of washing the tank out.  I think I have it . . . I'm going to run one more gallon of fresh gas through it this afternoon and see if it comes out clean.  I think it will, I've been pouring sea foam and gas, letting it sit for a day or two and pumping it out.  The last gallon looked decent, but still had a little "chocolate milk" looking stuff in it.  If it doesn't come out clean this time, I guess I'll have to pull the engine and take the tank out and clean it.

That depends on your definition of "Drivable."  I still haven't gotten the carb swapped out and the brakes bled, but yeah, if I had to, I could drive it.

The biggest issue is I've still gott'a deal with the mold.  I've sprayed it down with mold and mildew killer a couple of times and kept the doors opened when it didn't look a chance of rain . . . it hasn't help much.  I'm going to have to pull the interior out and wash it down.  My plan is to finish it up Saturday.

Homer WILL be at the club meeting next Monday!
