Vell, I vas valking tru da store...wait, let me start over...I was walking through Toys "R" Us on Thursday, when Lo And Behold, there was the biggest replica of a Schwimmwagen I had ever seen. It was in the "these toys are cool again because of all the terrorists and patriotism building up in this country" section...you know, GI Joe and Fireman Phil with all their accessories. I had to have one. Only $17.99 or so.
The only thing that I didn't like about it was that it is a representation of a German vehicle after the liberation of France...it had US symbols and writings on the side ("Killroy was here" and "Berlin Express"). I did look all around for a German Ultimate Soldier to go with it, but all they had were French, Italian, English and Good 'Ol US of A soldiers. There was one German soldier...but he was a U-Boat commander. Close, but not close enough.
I just can't wait to open it up and take it to the tubbie! :lookaround:
