Herbie: Fully Loaded movie trailer

Lots of folks have been wanting to know about the new Herbie movie. You can view the tralier by going to www.hollywood.com  When you get there, go down about half the page and on the right it says 'more trailers' click on 'more' and it will take you to the trailer.
It looks like it will be a hoot !! I believe that Disney may have gotten this one right.....we will see....gotta be better than Bananas or the 97 tv job  :(

I watched the trailer last night after the meeting and I agree . . . if the movie is half as good as the it looks in the trailer, it's going to be a classic!    8)

Too cool! =D>
I hope someone is figuring out out to download the trailer and put it on DVD so we can show it at the BAP7 movie night!

I just sent Russ an email asking him to take care of it. I'm pretty sure he has the capability of doing it. :D

Kyle was also planning on the new Herbie trailer and maybe Pixar's new movie Cars, which is coming out in 2006, on a dvd for the show; he has at least mentioned it to me. Maybe we should find out who is exactly going to do it since there is no reason to have multiple copys.

I found higher-quality trailers for Herbie and Cars here:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/herbie_fully_loaded/
http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/cars/

I have them both and I can encode them onto DVD, though it won't hardly take up any space at all on the disc. Is there anything else to put on there?

Will the club's DVD player play VCDs? That way we don't have to waste a whole DVD.

Why don't we get some commercials and some other Volkswagens TV specials to put on there?

We will have to ask either Zen or Kyle what our player or their player will play and not play.

I burned them to a VCD as a test and the picture was okay, a little bit of tiling and pixelation but not too bad. The audio skipped badly though. I may try later to put it on a DVD and see if that makes it run a little better.

"Our" DVD player won't play anything . . . I never picked us up one.  We used Kyle's last year.  I'll see if I can find us a cheap one that will play anything we throw at it.

Kyle had also talked about showing a replay of Gran Turismo 4 for the Playstation 2.  The game has a 1949 Beetle and 1968 Ghia in it.  I have already unlocked both.  He and I had talked about doing a race with those two as the only cars and showing the replay video.  I not sure if he was still thinking about trying to do that or not? :?: But anyway GT4 is an outstanding game.  If you have a PS2 you should give it a try.  You can go ahead and try the '49 Beetle and '68 Ghia in Arcade Mode; however, you have to win them in Gran Turismo Mode.  The replays in the game are just beautiful, almost realistic.  I showed Kim a picture of the Ghia before the game was released and she sat there and told me it was a real car for a couple of minutes. :D

Target and Wal Mart both have the best DVD player for the money.  It is the CyberHome DVD320 (or 321, both models are in the same shelf space).  It plays DVDs, CDs, VCDs, MP3s, just about anything.  I have bought 3 of these (2 for me and 1 as a gift) for about $32.99 each.  They are excellent players in my opinion.
