I may be getting a New New Beetle Turbo?
I have some choices to make...
Help me out.... :questions:

platinum is the new "charcoal" color for 2002.

I saw a yellow one in Ooltawah yesterday. Not the normal yellow though. It was a darker yellow, almost a light orange tint to it. Anyone know the official name of that color? I think it would look good on my 75 convertible . . . and my 2002 or 3 New Beetle convertible.

Zen, that might be the what they call the Double Yellow. What about Blue Lagoon? That's the color I'm going to get when we find one...

I spoke with VW in Knoxville and the salesman told me that White and Platnum are hard to get in a Turbo....
Most are black....
Im still working on a Snap Orange and theres also some Silver on the way...

Im not sure what Im going to do, all the dealers tell me that they are getting this and that in 2 weeks...and then 2 weeks pass and nothing happens. We will have to see...
I may have to try to find a used bug if I CAN'T swing the payments on 21k....

Personally I like to have/drive what doesn't look like EVERYONE elses car, I saw that platinum color the other day and I love it, would like to paint "my" :colgate: Fastback that color.

And the Snap Orange is cool too, I'm not big on orange but it is rare and an attention getter

I spoke with VW of Chatta...
They finanlly told me what my payments a month would be for a 2002 NB...
Im not sure I can handle the amount (332.00 a month for 5 years)

I'll have to see what happens....

I can't believe the "Snaps" are so hard to find.
Everyone i talk to seems uninterested in it with only a few exceptions.
This poll seems to show that as well.
I really like the new platinum... but silver is hard to beat.

yeah it seems like silver is pretty hard to beat...
I was told the platnums are very hard to get right now for some reason?
I think I like the silver over the platnum???
I like German (mexican also....:colgate:) cars with some sort of metallic color....
Although I would just about take any color turbo at this point.....
Ive found several used 2.0s but no turbos....

I'm with you Cindy, I really like the double yellow! :colgate: This fall I hope to purchase a double yellow New Beetle Convertible . . . or at least paint our 75 Super Beetle Convertible double yellow . . . maybe both. :colgate:

IMHO, Double Yellow is the shade VW should have used in the first place, instead of the lighter yellow. It looks great! There are three Snap Orange NBs on VWOC's lot as of Sat. Two are still in the wrappers. The coolest thing is the black w/orange insert leather seats with orange stitching. It got mixed reviews from those of us there for the Grand Opening, but decide for yourself! :questions:
