hello - introduction

hi , my names bryan , i been living in chattanooga for a few years and i just recently found out about the forum , i am the proud owner of a 87 fox gl , im planning on doing some radical mods too it as soon as i get some time and parts and hopefully race in the local solo2 events , looking forward to chatting with other veedub nuts.

Welcome to the Volks Folks forums, Bryan!

Our next club meeting is Monday evening, June 17th at Wally's Restaurant on the corner of I-75 and Ringgold Road.  We start showing up around 7:00 pm, give everyone a chance to eat some of Wally's good viddles, then start our "business" meeting at about 7:30.  After all of business has been taken care of the meetings usually get real informal, then around 8:45 - 9:00 it migrates out to the parking lot.  It's not unheard of for a few VW Nuts to still be hanging around in Wally's parking lot at midnight.  So, enjoy the forums, but come on and hang out with us in person.  We'll be looking forward to it!

Welcome!  You could be our first Fox owner and our second Autocrosser!  I am also in the local SCCA chapter, so if you need info on getting involved, or even a copy of the rulebook telling you which modifications put you in what class, let me know.  You don't want to get slapped into a class with 200HP V8s just because your wheels are an inch too big! (been there) We'll be at Wally's on Monday.  Hope to see you there!  Also, this weekend will be the SCCA Summer Shootout at Dade Co. High School.  They start up around 10 or 11 until around 5 or 6.  Lots of fast cars and free to watch!
