I'm upset with it because it's a stupid thing to put on a license plate.

If anybody gets upset for putting " In God We Trust" on the lic plate just use our beloved Prez Ovomit new buzz phase:  "I don't care what the People say they do not want ,I'm going to do it anyway I want to".  God help us.

Speaking of our beloved Prez . . . did you hear the news that sceintist discovered that the earthquake that rocked DC the other day happened along a previously unknown fault line.  In honor of the Prez, they named it Obamah's Fault.  But the Prez says to give credit where credit is due and since the equipment that led to the discovery was installed 4 years ago, it's now Bush's Fault.   ;D

That's why they made them optional . . . if you don't like it, just keep your dollar . . . which, by the way, has the same quote on it.   ;D

Yeah but have you seen the newly redesigned state license plate? So ugly it makes me want to move back to TN!

Did you vote on one?  I did, but that's not the one I voted for . . .  Oh well, it "yam what it yam!"  And don't worry, we'll only have to live with it for 10 or 15 years. :-\

Nope, and I don't really like any of them. I wish they offered just a plain number plate, since the state is forcing me to put something on my car I'd prefer it be as low-key as possible and not take away from how my car looks. Especially with as much money as I have to give them for the privilege.

I kind'a like the new tag myself for the same reason you don't like it . . . it takes away from how my car looks.  But, then, you've seen my cars, so you should understand . . .    ;D

Just got back from the tag office and I've got some good news for you Russ!  You can keep using the license plate you already have.  The new tags are not out yet, but even when they reach your county tag office, you don't get a new plate when you renew your tag.  You'll just get a new sticker as in years past.  You will only get the new plate IF you are getting a NEW tag, or a replacement for a damaged, lost or stolen one.  And don't forget that for any pre-71 vehicle you can run a vintage "year of manufacture" plate.
