Thank you folks. I appreciate you remembering me.
Bows before the Godfather and kisses his ring. As I post this I am in room 409 of the Holiday Inn Express over here in Lookout Mountain. I had some classroom training at the old BOC plant, which is Linde now, down the street in Chattanooga. I left Air Liquide on June 1st and returned to work for Linde at their plant they built and started up in late 2007 over in Columbus, Mississippi. It is a 550 ton per day plant and we are building another new 400 ton per day plant right next to it. I thought I had my moving around solved when I transferred from Wake Forest NC to Savannah, Ga. Not so Tonto. The customer for the onsite plant in Savannah filed bankruptcy so if they hit the stop button we did too. It was a good move because since Linde purchased BOC and the merger took place my previous 11 years and 11 month were not lost.
I must admit that leaving Air Liquide was hard because for the first time in my working career I was leaving a company that I had no problem with during my 2.5+ years there. They were great to me and allowed me to advance very rapidly in my career with them. They are a great company and I highly recommend them to work for. But I had to have a more secure job than in Savannah They did offer to move me to Ghent, KY or plants in Illinois, and Indiana. My old boss in Wake Forest even offered to beat Linde's offer by a significant amount to get me back there, but the distance from my family killed that offer.
I know I have not posted for a while but I have been a bit busy job seeking!! Again thanks for the birthday wish.
