Thanks everyone.  We just got back from a 6-day trip to Florida.  The past week has been spent on the beach, in the pool, back to the beach, again to the pool, and so on and so on.  
Now that we are back, we have to pack Sweetpea and the Passat for the trip to North Carolina.

You might want to check with someone in NC to see what part of the Blue Ridge Parkway is open before heading that direction.  An article in Sunday's newspaper travel section mentions parts of it is closed due to the heavy rains from all the hurricane systems that have blown through.  Have a good time!!!

Thanks, Cindy.  I have already been to the Blue Ridge Parkway website and found out where to take detours.  Are there new closings?  I am going to go look right now... :)
