Happy 13th Birthday

To the Scenic City Volks Folks. From the VW History:

February 17, 1998: A group of 12 VW enthusiasts gathered at VW of Chattanooga at the invitation of then General Manager George Edrington. At the second meeting in March, the group named themselves the Scenic City Volks Folks.

Hey Rick i wanted some cake on my birthday this week also but did not get it. So i guess we are both in the same boat ( or beetle ) this week.

Does anyone have any copies of the newsletters that George Edrington's wife did for us that first year or so?  It list the new members that showed up at each meeting.

I've been trying to think of who was at that first meeting.  I know that Joy, Justin and myself were there.  I'm pretty sure Eldon Eskridge, Travis Bearfoot,  Frank and Kathy McDevitt and Stuart and Robin Neal were also at that first meeting.  It sure seems like that was more than 13 years ago.   ;D  8)

The earliest newsletters I have go back to probably 2000. I can bring some to the meeting tonight if anyone is interested in looking at them.
