I will try to keep it brief and under control, since this is a family site....

I am glad that son of a bitch is dead.  I hate it that it took us so long to do it.  I don't care for people who kill other people just to watch them die.  I am quite certain that there are others waiting in line to take his place.  You can't change a mentality of a society with one death.  That's about it I suppose.

Thanks to all of our Armed Forces who kept at it, keeping us safe everyday to enjoy all the benefits this country has to offer.

A quote from one of my friends on Face Book:

I didn't think anything could possibly upstage "Will and Kate" this weekend but a dead smelly, cave-dwelling terrorist pulled it off.

Quote
By Mark Hosenball and Kamran Haider, Reuters:  The revelation that bin Laden had holed up in a compound in the military garrison town of Abbottabad, possibly for years, prompted many U.S. lawmakers to demand a review of the billions of dollars in aid Washington gives to nuclear-armed Pakistan.

I usually try to avoid political stuff on the forum, BUT . . .  Maybe they should give those billions to American TAX PAYERS that lost everything in the recent storms . . . or put it back to keep paying our soldiers the next time they debating shutting the government down because they are broke.  These idiots in Washington are as big, or bigger threat to the US than Bin Ladin ever was.

I could not agree more.

I hate to say it... as it does not make me proud to do so, but it is true...

What's really sad is that "We the People" elected them.  There should be term limits for ALL polictial offices so at least we would have to elect new idiots ever so often.  What was that quote David used to have in his signature . . . "Diapers and politicians should be changed often . . . and for the same reason."  or something to that effect!

I wouldn't last as a politician.

I'd make too many people mad.  I am tired of Americans sitting around crying about what they think they are entitled to, worrying about hurting others feelings, and expecting to always get something for nothing.  My grandfather's generation was the last one I think that enjoyed the luxury of having the United States be at the top.  Then we started being sensitive.  When FDR was at the helm, we got punched in the face, stood up and said, "No, I don't think so".  Now, it seems like our leaders say, "Aw come on, guys... stop it".  I don't believe in a time out for children, and I certainly don't think it works worth a damn for a foreign power.  As for billions of dollars given to Pakistan, what kind of moron(s) thought that was a good idea?  That's what scares me most. Not what we hear about decisions made by political leaders, but the things they do without us hearing about them.  I mean, seriously, I can't believe that would be a good idea, and I just fix cars for a living.  You guys get paid to make important decisions about our welfare and safety.  I would like a list of all those who decided to funnel that kind of money to Pakistan so we could ship some of the left-over Katrina trailers to live in.

THAT would be my idea of "tax dollars at work"

Surely you are not saying our top politicians work in the "Done Deal" mode ::) ::)All the U.S.A. needs to do is have a revolution . Thats a scary thought but it has happened before when we had our little chat with the British.

Then we had to smack 'em around a little more a few years later and tell 'em "And STAY out!"   ;D
