I wouldn't last as a politician.
I'd make too many people mad. I am tired of Americans sitting around crying about what they think they are entitled to, worrying about hurting others feelings, and expecting to always get something for nothing. My grandfather's generation was the last one I think that enjoyed the luxury of having the United States be at the top. Then we started being sensitive. When FDR was at the helm, we got punched in the face, stood up and said, "No, I don't think so". Now, it seems like our leaders say, "Aw come on, guys... stop it". I don't believe in a time out for children, and I certainly don't think it works worth a damn for a foreign power. As for billions of dollars given to Pakistan, what kind of moron(s) thought that was a good idea? That's what scares me most. Not what we hear about decisions made by political leaders, but the things they do without us hearing about them. I mean, seriously, I can't believe that would be a good idea, and I just fix cars for a living. You guys get paid to make important decisions about our welfare and safety. I would like a list of all those who decided to funnel that kind of money to Pakistan so we could ship some of the left-over Katrina trailers to live in.
THAT would be my idea of "tax dollars at work"
