Sad to see the demise of my humble beginnings of my life with VW.  Rest in Pieces (R.I.P. April 2013) :'(

I think the city owns the property now. The whole area is going to be turned into a green  way. At least the club owns the BIG VW sign that stood in front of the dealership. WE use to service about 50-60 Beetles, Type-2's, Type-3's, Type-4's on the average day with 15 Mech, 3 Service Advisers, 1 Shop Forman, 1 Service Manager. There were a lot of VW's in Chattanooga and close around at that time.

:vw: At least we salvaged the sign!  David, you don't happen to have any pictures of the dealership showing the sign do you?

Somewhere I think. I do have a group photo shot for the newspaper of all of us standing in the front bay door.

R.I.P. to the former Southland VW...

I still let out a little sigh when I drive by the big warehouse that now sits on the lot along Rossville Avenue that once housed many dozen VWs behind a long, overgrown fence...   :-\
