Giant hot dogs don't pass you everyday.

Well, I was driving on I-24/75 today heading towards Shallowford Rd. when I glance up into my rear veiw mirror and what do I see, the Wienermobile.    I think that is the first time I have ever actually seeing that vehicle be driven.  Of course you cannot see it and not break out into the Oscar Mayer song.

I've seen it once.  It was two or three years ago.  It was headed south on 1-75 just as we started off towards LaFayette from the spot where Homer costed to a stop after the #4 rod cap came through the top of the block.  If Homer had of made it home without any trouble, my mom, Joy, Herb and myself would never have seen the wienermobile in action!

I've been trying to remember since Matt put that post up where I had seen the Wienermobile in the past. Thanks for the reminder, Zen.

Is the memory the first thing to go when you start getting old?? :?

Hey!  Just wanted to say that when we were on our way to Florida last week, we passed a (or is it "the") Wienermobile as it was going north on I-75.  My bus, Oscar, is named for his resemblance to this vehicle, but I had never seen it in person until that day.  Pretty cool!  The cab on that thing really sits up high!

The wind-up short bug was at Bug-a-paluza 7.  I'm not sure who owns it, but I love it!  By the way, the key is home made and is powered by a bug windshield wiper motor.  It's a neat piece of engineering!  The person that built it obviously had WAY too much time on their hands!
