GEORGIA SENATE BILL #117

:D  :D  :D

Just returned from registering the 67 tag for the car. The system is in place to accept the data. Took a few minutes because this is the first one they have entered. The process is easy.
1. Take your current registered tag or registration information
2. Take your YOM tag you want to register.
3. Fill out a one page document.
4. That is it!!! You are now registered.

There is no charge for this activity. The system does not print any documents because there if no fee involved etc, but the lady printed the final screen for me. I placed it in the envelope with all the other registeration information. It shows boths tags registed for the auto.

I took my 64 tag this mourning and had it registered to my 64 beetle.  I have to say that was the easiest transaction I have ever made at the tag office.  It never fells everytime I step foot in the Ringgold tag office I never have all the right documents or the insurance company hasn't notified them or something.  But today I was in and out in 5 min. :D

:D YW Oh mighty "God Of The Spray Gun".  Glad it went good for you too Brian.

I would like to see other states get into the act too. Herb, do we want to try and get some signatures again and try to  get the representatives in Tennessee interested? If I am able to get to the show ( and I do not see any reason why I can't right now) I will be happy to take care of getting the signatures.

Who do I check with here in North Carolina to see where NC stands on this issue?

DMV maybe?  At least they might be able to point you in the right directions.  Maybe look up your local state representative.

Found out tonight that North Carolina already has a similar process. Just have to carry the real tag in the glove box. :D
